passed down by countless generations, from leather working masters to leather craftsman. Everything we do is done with extreme care and attention for detail to create an heirloom quality piece of art
that you will cherish for decades to come.

Every single item is made from start to
finish by Liam Manak himself in his upstate
New York studio. Liam strives to help
keep the ancient process of traditional
leather working alive by creating the most
exquisite hand crafted leather products
the traditional way, without the use of
any heavy duty industrial equipment.

Why do we choose to stitch all of our products by hand instead of using sewing machines? Sewing machines are great for saving time while focusing on making products in mass quantities but simply does not result in an everlasting heirloom quality product that we strive to make as a brand. Machine sewn stitches have a tendency to break with wear and once one stitch breaks it is only a short amount of time before the entire seem completely unravels. In comparison stitches that have been sewn by hand with wax coated thread tend to have a lot more strength and longevity, even if one stitch ends up breaking the rest of the seem will still stay intact due to the way that the hand sewn wax coated stitches interact with one another.

To create such high quality leather goods we
work tirelessly to source the finest quality of
supplies and materials to craft our products with.
Everything is sewn together by hand with linen
thread that has been coated in bee's wax which we
import from a French company that has been
manufacturing the worlds finest linen thread since
the 1800s. Most of our leather goods feature
painted edges which are done with the best soft
touch matte or smooth gloss finished edge paint
that we could find which we import from Italy.

We understand that everyone has their own ideal type of leather that they would prefer to have their special hand crafted piece of art made out of. With so many different types of leather out there we try our best to offer leathers that will stay looking fresh and new for years to come as well as other leathers that show the story of their use and wear by creating beautiful signs of discoloring patina and unique markings that will slowly happen over time.
